GINGERSNAPS ETC. is 100% volunteer driven. All proceeds from the sales of products in these web sites go to enrich the lives of the 700 children and adults served daily by The Center Serving Persons with Mental Retardation. The GINGERSNAP ETC. volunteers have sold more than 2 Million dollars of their products and contributed more than 1 Million dollares to The Center.

THE CENTER is a private not-for-profit United Way agency, which has for more than 60 years served children and adults through educational, residential and work training programs.

WILLOW RIVER FARMS, a program of The Center, is home to 60 adults and is an organic farm and artisan community located an hour from Houston in rural San Felipe, Texas. It is here that the GINGERSNAP ETC. project was inspired and where the artisans make the gilded handmade paper ornaments that decorate our gold tins.

 

The philosophy of The Center and Willow River Farms is that every person has value and worth, is entitled to the highest quality of life and should be treated with dignity.
Over 2 Million dollars in product has been sold since the project started in 1998 and
more than 1 Million provided to improve the lives of the people served by
THE CENTER Serving Persons with Mental Retardation.
