Making Our Gingersnaps
Our cornerstone product came into being at the request of Barbara Bush. We began the task of making the perfect gingersnap one day and found out in a hurry that it wasn't going to be easy. We started with a recipe that we found in a magazine and went from there. They weren't crisp, crunchy or spicy so we tinkered around with another recipe that wasn't much better using spices from the local grocery. We finally realized we needed spices that were fresh and strong, so we searched for a company specializing in spices and found one in Wisconsin that has proven to be just what we wanted with wonderful fresh spices. After many more adjustments, and many more batches of dough, we were at last ready to send a sample tin to Barbara Bush. She loved them and we were in business.

The snaps come in beautifully hand-decorated tins that are the same tins you have come to expect from the resident artisans of the Farm. Again, they have gilded hand made paper ornaments that fit all occasions.
